Economic and Community Development

Royal Docks Delivery Plan
Royal Docks Enterprise Zone, London, U.K.

I provided technical inputs, developed the project assessment criteria, tested and conducted the selection process, and provided graphics support throughout the project. The project supported the Enterprize Zone (EZ) team to develop and refine the preferred package of projects for the next five years of the EZ, to support the delivery of up to 40,000 jobs and 4,000 homes. The catalytic potential of the initial stages of development were crucial to the overall success of the EZ.

Oxford, Milton Keynes and Cambridge Corridor
National Infrastructure Commission, U.K.

I conducted necessary research for literature reviews, compiled case studies, facilitated workshops developed final recommendations, and produced the final project outputs. The report provided the National Infrastructure Commission with criteria to assess the Oxford-Cambridge Corridor as a potential source of growth across South East, England. The work focused on ‘blue sky thinking’ of the barriers and levers associated with delivering one million homes, by 2050, across the corridor.

From Copenhagen to Tokyo: Learning from International Housing Delivery Systems
SPUR, San Francisco, CA

I led international housing market delivery research, distilled lessons learned, and was a co-author of the final global innovations in affordable housing study. The study captures innovations and best practices from across the world focusing on cities that address both supply and demand challenges, draw on a range of mechanisms such as regulatory mandates, deregulation and regulatory streamlining, land use and financial incentives, tenant support and protections, innovative design and construction methods, and intergovernmental collaboration.
